Yeah, Snowdon summit weather looks, erm, interesting. My exchange to Cumbria was cancelled yesterday and looks like games are off anyway, am off over to Ponteland instead, just as the wind starts!

Nowhere Yet! After fracturing 5th metatarsal jogging on 11th December 23, finally got a pin put in it 5 weeks ago as it never healed. Plaster off next week then fingers crossed a slow return to fitness. Until then I'll be resuming my hopefully temporary assessing/coach/mentor/ whatever they are called career. Enjoy your rugby all.

One year and 3 days since my fractured metatarsal Kendal 2 v Vale of Lune 2 sadly no 4th team games round here to ease me back! 🙏🤞
 
This weekend:-

Nat 2 North AR2

Lymm v Preston Grasshoppers

Back to reasonable weather after last week - I didn't have a game :).

Lymm surrendered their 100% record last week dropping from 1st to 3rd in the process so will be looking to get back in the saddle against a stuttering Hoppers, who are just below mid table and can't string results together. Beaten 0-39 at home last week. Hoppers only seem able to beat the teams below them - yes I know statistically that's generally the case! :)

Another AGP (Hoppers have one as well) match so expecting an open game and to be finding rubber crumb in every orifice 'til Boxing Day.
 
Any SM experts out there. I want to try and get us seen more, promote more growth.
Im going to share an image of my game tomorrow, how can i let others post to our Instagram with there games, so we can get a running posts sort of things of images where we are all refing?

This weekend (well Friday evening actually) :-

Nat 2 North AR2

Sheffield v Sheffield Tigers

This weekend is "derby" weekend in Nat 2 North.

Sheffield are top after beating Lymm on the 7th December (level on 60 pts with Leeds and Lymm) and Tigers have managed to move away from the drop zone after beating Billingham last weekend.

Friday night should bring a good crowd down to Abbeydale with close to a 1,000 expected.

South Yorkshire Referees To3 on the game. Looking forward to it.

Other fixtures in Nat 2 North are:-

Leeds Tykes v Otley (at Headingley : Leeds Rhinos RL) - NB it won't be full! :)
Hull Ionians v Hull
Wharfedale v Harrogate
Billingham v Tynedale
Lymm v Chester

well i did have some symphony for your fullback, High ball, crowd all jeer, he knocks on. Every ball after that was noisier than the last!!.

Devizes coach was not happy, but would not tell which which part. He was upset about the last play, i gave a scrum for knock on, he thought it was line out. Watching the veo after he was correct, BUT the linesman put up the flag about 3 seconds after i saw the knock on, so i thought the knock on was well before he went to touch
 
Last one of 2024 - Regional 2 North (L6) West Hartlepool vs Guisborough (4th vs 2nd bottom) - Blessed with an assessor and a cameraman so best iron my laces

Might have been my first game at Uni when one of the team out injured was watching from the side with a fez on swigging direct from a bottle of port which was passed around freely.

I can confirm that port can never be described as “performance enhancing”.
