I did Farnborough vs British Library once, earlyish in my career. No-one warned me.
"Want a drink at the half ref?"
"Sur-whattheeffwasthat?"

No port but a good day out and no shortage of Guinness in the club afterwards. Young uns won 54 - 24 i think despite some dodgy decisions to keep the old farts in it.

Saturday I had my first Welsh league game. We had a shortage of Level 3 referees so I and a few others we asked to step up for the day. Really enjoyed the experience. Had a cracking assessment too. BUCS to come on Wednesday.

after a couple of weeks off in India, didn't see one set of rugby posts or found a Guinness, a little train ride round the duddon estuary for Millom v Workington and a few beers afterwards
