So. Lungs then

Don't poke the Bear that has just gone Apeshit. :knuppel2: Prove your fitness first, THEN ref.:pepper: Good luck on both counts.

So, for those who are interested:

I was at the pulmonologist today. The (abbreviated) dialog was:
Dr: "Oh, this is good"
Mate, I got told that I had a partial collapse. How is this good?
"Well, compared to 2 years ago..."
Say what now? The only thing I had 2 years was the CT for the hernia.
"Oh yes, They got the same area of your lung as well. Look at THIS area and compare it to THAT area..."
So, if I hear you right, there was a bigger collapse a long time ago and it's getting better on its own?
"Oh yes. And I'm going to give you meds so it continues to get better."

So, it turns out I've been refereeing for at least two years with a partially collapsed lung that has been gradually getting better.

I have had an...interesting day.

I am also apparently fit to referee.

I'd change your doctors.

If you saw your car mechanic and he said "Oh, your brakes were shot two years ago, but they seem to be getting better on their own" wouldn't you question whey your mechanic let you drive around with faulty brakes for two years without telling you? ( (c)Crap analogies R us)

What else isn't your doctor telling you?

Different doctor. Two years it was someone looking for a sports hernia; this guy is a lung specialist who seems to know what he's talking about.
But yeah, I'm a bit annoyed about the miss from 2 years ago.

Here's coincidence...sort of.

I'm just watching a documentary about musical superman Nile Rodgers which leads me on to lungs.

Chic bass player and NR's longtime collaborator Bernard Edwards collapsed and died in 1996 in Tokyo after a concert after complaining of feeling a bit unwell during the concert - he insisted on carrying on to the finish at the Budokan.

That appears to have been pneumonia. He was 43.

Good Times (see what I did there) there'll be plenty more.....just rest up for a bit.

That's my uneducated advice.

Get well soon.
