Ran touch yesterday for a Colts semi-final. Winner goes through to grand final next week.
Leading up to half time Blue are well ahead when one of their best players gets a YC.
Early in second half, Blue are looking to put their player back on. I asked the coach if he was aware that if this player gets another YC, that'll be a RC so he'll miss next week's grand final.
"farck, oh yeah, you're right" he says and somewhat wisely decides to keep that player off for the rest of the game.
Said player then plays in the club's 2nd grade team later that afternoon. Yep, he got a straight red for a high shot so will end up missing his grand final next Saturday anyway.
