After too many bad experiences with the black elastic bra-like contraptions that are a magnet for sweat/moisture, I pulled the trigger and purchased a running vest when using mics/radios.

Thank for that. I had been looking for a decent solution. We are observed quite frequently and I'm always aware of the tug on my shorts with what feels like the risk of them falling down. For £12 it is worth a punt. Cheers

I usually wear an undershirt beneath the bra-like contraption which seems to work OK.

Quite a few referees/ARs wear Macron Referee's shirts as used by Football Referees. I don't - they're too expensive. I wear a sort of cummerbund thing with a few compartments in. Makes me look a bit (more) of a chubber however.

I've seen similar shirts from other brands, and they are loathed due to the pocket stitches coming loose over time.
