Jackler question

Dickie E

Referees in Australia
What would you do?
Jackler legally does his thing and, while doing so, opposition clean-out player latches onto his back. Weight of this causes tackler to collapse over ball.
Penalty or unplayable?

Obviously hard to tell without seeing it but is it penalisable as a Croc roll type action....pulling the jackler forward instead of driving them backwards?

How much of his thing has he done? Has he lifted the ball? Could he have if not for the tackled player?

He hasn't lifted the ball but is doing so. Tackled player not interfering. Weight over hips and no contact with ground. Until opponent puts his weight on his back and both go to ground

how is the support player latching onto the BC? My gut says to ping the support player for collapsing

Hey all? Wouldn't this be a PK under 9.20 (c) intentionally collapsing a ruck? The law doesn't state that it has to be the player at the bottom of the ruck does it??

I agree but it always seems to be the jackler who gets pinged.
It comes across as a clean out but the angle of the jackler's body takes him to ground over the ball
