Just had an e-mail to say that Saturday mornings game is "looking doubtful". :frown:

If it's frozen now, I can't see how it's going to defrost in the next 48 hours when temperateures are barely above freezing.
 
East Mids will Struggle today; on way this morning 05.30 -8.5 and temp not above freezing yesterday most games will fall.
 
I'm inspecting the pitch for my game at 11 - as I happen to be driving past at tha time. My car said it was was -3. The park opposite my house is solid - looks like the pub and 6 nations is calling
 
Here at work, snow is forecast at 12. Kick off is 3.
Referee has to decide if he wants white lines or red lines painting.
(undersoil heating means the game wil go ahead even if it snows).
 
My game was called off yesterday evening (frozen pitch). The SADO said he would not try to re-appoint me as he expected a whole raft of local games to be called off.
 
Oxford Quins v Chinnor L5 called off at lunchtime yesterday, and local Hampshire matches going cancelled all day yesterday and this morning.

Fire alight, a crate of Hobgoblin on hand, ham sandwiches made ready, so ready for a long afternoon watching 6 Nations, as awarm up for the serious match tomorrow afternoon.
 
So far I am not aware of any games being played in Gloucestershire. Frozen pitches everywhere.
 
My game was called off at around 10am, so I went for a round of golf in the ever deepening snow. Good fun had by all.

what game was this you were going to with undersoil heating?!
 
looks like the game at my club was one of about 3 that actually took place yesterday in this region - nothing else at levels 5, 6, 7 or 8.

we won, which has inflated our league position :)
