Gentlemen-
In the midst of yet another opportunity to bash each other's respective hemispheres you forgot to welcome Nick. Notice he has an Indiana flag. Nick joined because he was the AR in last weekend's match that we have been discussing on another thread (spear tackle red card or not with the video). Welcome to the forums Nick.

Welcome Nick.

He's obviously not a roadie or the test would have been:....

Testing 1, 1, 1 ,1 ,2, 2, 2, 2.....................do all roadies have a stutter?

Now you've done it Eric, You've outed me!:chin:

Just wanted to do a simple test last night to see how posts worked on this forum (and make sure my avatar worked properly), and then I was going to delete it before anyone saw it. Problem is, unlike some other (non-rugby) forums that I am a member of, it doesn't look like you can delete a post in its entirety here.

I won't go into the incident in this thread, but will post something in the other when I get a chance. Having watched the flurry of emails currently circulating in Indiana (and even across the border into Ontario) regarding the incident, it became evident that it was also being discussed on a refs forum, so thanks to IndyRugbyRef for steering me here.

This does look like a great place to exchange knowledge and ideas. Out of curiousity, when does the whopping big US flag appear next to my name, like in Eric's posts? After a certain number of contributions?

Best regards (and ducking back below the parapet),
Nick

Hi Nick,

You need certain powers to be able to delete posts of threads, and as this thread has amused some of my fellow countrymen I'll leave it as it is.

You're entering the forum with somewhat of a fanfare as the match last week has been a hot topic. Don't take any criticism or disagreement personally, the aim of this forum is to help all referees exchange opinions and knowledge, none of it is personal (well apart from when people accuse Jamo of wanting to look like The Rock).

If you want a whopping great big US banner it can be arranged, but I kinda like the Indiana avatar. Good to have another USA member on here, and great to see good membership from one of our smaller societies as well.

Cheers,

Nick (as well)

Thanks all for the welcome.

Made a post over in the other thread.

Nick (exhookah), thanks for the explanations, I don't need the big US flag, it would only vindicate Eric and we mustn't encourage his antics  . I was just curious since all the Americans seem to have it plus a their local society avatar or one of the pre-baked ones. Not a big deal.

I promise not to take stuff personally, if I did, I wouldn't be a ref, right? Besides, I see this forum's membership is still small enough that there is a seriously healthy dose of banter.
