    Lions Series - Accidental Offsite?

Here's a thought I have that does take away a bit from the offside discussion... it is my (possible) opinion that when Read launches himself for the ball, and before he is in position to compete for the ball and definitely before he makes contact with Williams, he makes contact with the player...

    [Law] Stoppages after 80 mins

The timing was a farce and I am surprised it wasn't picked up on by the team of three (no. 4 was obviously incompetent). With the YC clock starting when he went off and no stoppages at any time for the various injuries and discussions re penalties and replacement front rows, I thought Lee spent...

[6N] decision to go for the posts (Scotland Wales)

I agree... this was no bad reflection on Lacey (plenty of other opportunities for that) but does reflect badly on AW J ... particularly if he wants to lead the Lions he needs to make sure the players under him respect his decisions ... in hindsight after fluffing the line out he was of course...

    [6N] England v Italy

It shows the importance of clear communication from the referee... there are so many times when it isn't clear to anybody whether it is tackle only or whether the defence has committed (or been dragged in) to a ruck. Thinking back to the matches yesterday, neither ref called ruck or tackle only...

    Global Law Changes for 2017

So the same thing happened in yesterday's Champions Cup match between Connaught and Wasps. In this case Connaught won penalty after time, checked with ref who confirmed time was up but the could have the line out, they kicked into touch, won line out and drove over for match winning (after...

    Dan Biggar YC

I'd be intrigued to know what he said to Joubert when he went off. Didn't seem like a 'Sorry, Sir' ... surely he wasn't trying to justify his ridiculously early tackle, he seemed quite animated.

    Crocodile Roll at Under 19

Bit of a debate kicking off on Twitter about an article and accompanying video on Rugby World Magazine teaching juniors how to crocodile roll in rucks. Ben Ryan (Fiji coach) and Dan Cottrell amongst others condemning it. The Twitter conversation is here...
